Dr. S.M.A. Rahim completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College.
He completed his post-graduation diploma in Orthopaedics from the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR).
He started his career as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College (MHSMC). He obtained his higher training in orthopaedics and spine surgery from home and abroad.
He completed his post-graduation degree FCPS in Orthopaedics.
He completed AO trauma Basic, advanced, and Masters courses from abroad. He also completed his AO trauma fellowship from abroad. He completed an APSS spine operative course and an AO spine course from abroad.
He is a life member of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society and Bangladesh Spine Society. He is also a life member of the Asia Pacific Spine Society.
He attended different national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops on orthopaedics, spine, and trauma surgery, hip & knee joint replacement surgery, sports medicine & injury, and arthroscopy.
Now he is serving patients as an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Healing Diagnostic & Consultation Centre.
